English Language Program (ELP)

The English Language Program (ELP) offers a stimulating and varied selection of language and study skill courses. The ELP is an intensive and challenging certificate program, and is designed to prepare students for Academic English, Business English, and English for General Communication. The 20-hour per week curriculum includes a 10-hour core class of integrated language skills, plus two 5-hour elective courses. In order to help students make friends and practice their English, ELP students are encouraged to participate in UCSB Extension’s conversation partner program, and in the exciting social activities program.
